A writer for the new york times interviewed a series of people who had survived jumping off the golden gate bridge. Every person she interviewed admitted that about two thirds of the way down, they realized that every seemingly meaningless problem that caused them to jump was fixable.

Every single one.

I have waited tables. I’ve worked in bars. You know who tips well? The working poor, the lower middle class, and people who work or have worked in service industries. You know who tips shitty or not at all? Rich people, upper middle class people, and privileged fuckers who use their “moral opposition” to tipping to be cheap assholes.

This is very true.

A lot of people with money have worked tables and been in your position before and tip fucking well. I’ve seen my rich family members leave $100 tips for the bathroom attendant before out of pure generosity. Not all people are the same stereotype.
A lot of working class people don’t tip well either.
